We design environments that work for the people who live in them. A website is no different.
Our standard
This site is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What that means here
Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element. Our interactive pieces — the scene keypad, the day-at-home model, the room hotspots — are reachable and operable without a mouse.
Every meaningful image carries descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked as such so a screen reader passes over them.
Motion respects your system settings. If you have reduced motion enabled, the site's animations do not play.
Form fields carry proper labels, and errors are announced and tied to the field that caused them.
We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Those tools do not deliver real accessibility, and we would rather do the work.
Where we may fall short
No site is perfect, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise. If you encounter something that does not work for you, we want to hear about it — that is the fastest way for us to fix it.
