Stone ranch house with a deep porch and metal roof at dusk, path lights along a curving gravel drive through native grass, oaks and low hills beyond

Oak hills, close to home.

Weatherford has been the seat of Parker County since the county was formed, and Willow Park lies eight miles east along I-20. We have worked in both, and the ranch country around them, since 2004.

Cross Timbers country

Parker County lies in the Western Cross Timbers: rolling to hilly land, oak and native grass on the high ground, elm, walnut and pecan along the streams. Weatherford itself sits on the crest of the divide between the Trinity and the Brazos.

At its center is the limestone courthouse of 1886, on the National Register since 1971, and around it more than sixty turn-of-the-century homes along tree-lined avenues.

Willow Park

Willow Park takes its name from a roadside park of native willows and a pond on the old highway. Interstate 20 replaced the park in 1968, but the pond is still there, just north of the interstate. Families followed Lake Weatherford when it filled in the late 1950s, much of the town was built on former ranch land, and it became a city in 1963.

Horse country

Weatherford is known as the Cutting Horse Capital of the World, and every July the Parker County Peach Festival fills the square. Out here a property can mean a barn, an arena and a long way to the road, and the technology has to reach all of it.

What it takes

A network to the barn.

Coverage to the barn, the arena and the guest house, with cameras on the same managed network.

The gate.

An entry gate with intercom and camera that answers from your phone, wherever you are.

Light on the land.

Path lights along the drive and uplighting in the oaks, kept low so the night sky stays dark.

Security.

The Otium Group, Inc — Security Division, monitored around the clock by a UL-Listed central station.

One system.

Control4 ties it together. One press at the door sets the house for the evening, from the porch to the barn.

Common questions

Do you serve Weatherford and Willow Park?

Yes. We have worked in Weatherford, Willow Park, Aledo and the surrounding ranch country since 2004, from our base in Fort Worth.

Can the network reach a barn or an arena?

Yes. We plan the run from the house — buried conduit or a wireless bridge — and put the barn and its cameras on the same managed network.

Can you work in a historic house near the square?

Yes. We use wireless lighting control and shades and route new wiring through attics and crawlspaces, so the plaster, trim and original details stay as they are.

When should we bring you into a new build?

At plan review. Conduit to the barn and the gate, shade pockets and landscape lighting circuits are decided before the walls close. Afterward, every one of them costs more.
