What we collect

We collect only what you give us. There are three places to do that.

The contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and whatever you write in the message.

The security form. The short form on The Otium Group, Inc — Security Division page: your name, phone number, and, if you provide them, your email address, city, and what you need help with.

The careers form. Your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and your answers to our questions. The form does not accept résumés or any other files; if we would like to see your résumé, we will ask you for it by email.

When you press send, each form also runs an invisible check that tells a person from an automated spam program. It is provided by Vercel, the company that hosts this website, loads from this site’s own address, sets no cookies, and never asks you to solve a puzzle. The technical signals it reads from your browser are used for that check and nothing else.

We do not collect anything else. This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers, and does not build a profile of you. We do not know who you are unless you tell us.

What we do with it

We read it and we respond to it. Contact form submissions go to our office inbox. Career submissions go to the same place and are reviewed by the people who would work with you.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners. We have never done this and have no plans to.

We use one outside service to deliver these messages — an email delivery provider that transmits the form to our inbox. It handles the message in transit and does not use it for anything else.

Messages our spam filter turns away are not delivered to anyone. They are kept briefly in our hosting provider’s server logs, only so that a genuine message caught by mistake can still be found and answered.

How long we keep it

Contact inquiries: twenty-four months, then deleted.

Career submissions: twelve months, then deleted, unless you are hired or you ask us to keep you on file longer.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. We will.

Analytics

We measure how many people visit this site and which pages they read. This measurement is anonymous and cookieless — it does not identify you, does not follow you to other websites, and is not shared with advertisers.

Your choices

Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no form and no process. Send an email.

Depending on where you live, you may have formal rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor those requests regardless of where you live, because the honest answer is that we hold very little and deleting it is easy.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Beyond the email delivery and the spam check described above — the check is run by Vercel, which already hosts this site — our site sends no visitor data to third parties.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
