The Bluffs
One of Colleyville’s newest addresses is The Bluffs: nine gated homesites, each an acre or more, on wooded hills off Pool Road, inside a perimeter stone wall, with homes of 5,000 square feet and up. On a lot like that, the technology is part of the architecture — landscape lighting that carries through the trees, a network that reaches the far edge of the acre, and the gate, the shades and the security on one system. Designed at plan review, while the walls are still open.
The new estates
Colleyville’s new enclaves — Park Hill, Eastpointe Terrace, The Bluffs and Oak Creek — sit on homesites from half an acre to several acres, and older homes on big lots are giving way to new estates. More land means more to light and connect: long drives, old trees, pools and outdoor rooms, all answering to one system.
The Dream Street
On Fort Worth Magazine’s 2023 Dream Street in Oak Alley, we designed the home automation for the English Arts and Crafts residence.
We have been Fort Worth Magazine’s technology partner on its showcase homes since 2013 — including the 2013 Dream Home, the 2018 Home of Dreams, the 2019 Showcase Home, the 2020 Dream Street and the 2025 Dream Home.

What it takes
Light beneath the oaks.
Uplighting on the trunks and moonlighting from high in the canopy, so the light falls through the branches the way the moon does.
A network for the whole lot.
On half-acre and acre homesites, coverage to the pool, the patio and the far corner, managed as one secure network.
Light and shade inside.
Lutron lighting and motorized shades on the west glass, where the Texas sun is hardest.
Security.
The Otium Group, Inc — Security Division, monitored around the clock by a UL-Listed central station.

Control4 ties it together. Goodnight lowers the shades, arms the house and walks the landscape down to accent light.
